Children and young adult literary authors, translators, publishers and interested people held the celebration in honor of Farhad Hassanzadeh on February 25th, 2019. The event held to celebrate 2019-Iranian candidates of Astrid Lingren Memorial Award.
“We appreciate that Farhad Hassanzadeh is concerned about different literary forms such as stories and poems. He knows children’s and young adult’s world and he describes it in a charming way.” Soudabeh Amini, director of Literary and Artistic Works in Kanoon[1] claimed.
Mohsen Hejri, writer and literary critic also talked about Farhad’s writing style: “The bitterness of war is reflected in his works, yet he goes beyond the reality and recedes from the darkness to talk about the new condition of the society and the joy of the games. As I look further in his works, I assume that writing is not only a profession to him, but he chooses to live within and outside of the texts as a writer.”
Moreover, Shahram Eqbalzadeh, the translator and critic of children literary stated: “Farhad Hassanzadeh takes a comprehensive national approach which is reflected in his works. He connects three generations of whom he knows the characteristics, while focusing on the poor. He builds up the communications.”
“When we communicate with the world, we can announce, proud of our historical background, we have authors like Farhad Hassanzadeh.”
