The three-volume Kooti Kooti stories consist of some short stories which are all humorous. They fit children and babies. Kooti Kooti is a baby-centipede who has as many stories and troubles as his feet. But they are special problems, just for the cen-tipedes, such as waxing their shoes, washing their socks, buying shoes, sewing trousers, etc. And the worst is his playing football. When he’s a goalkeeper, nobody can score a goal.
In one story Kooti Kooti’s father was tickling his feet. He wasnot in the mood to go to school and pretended that his feet were aching. His parents did notknow that the radio had announced that the schools were closed, because it had snowed heavily.
In another story Kooti Kooti wanted to attend the Best Singer Competition, so he wore a famous singer’s eyeglasses and found himself a real sing-er. He wanted to shake the world with his songs.
These books were selected in Isfahan Literary Festival in 2005. They were selected in Salam Festival in children stories section in 2006. The book “Don’t Catch a Cold, Kooti Kooti” was nominated in the 15th Shahid Ghanipoor’s Festival.
The first volume has been translated into Chinese and Malay and English languages in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Kanoon is going to make the puppet of Kooti Kooti and produce some TV series adopted from the book.
