The book contains six short stories, each dealing with a different aspect of teens’ lives. One of the stories is “Compass”, which narrates the story of a teen who has faced some war-leftover ammunitions. He collects metal waste to earn his bread and butter, but he puts his foot on a mine and has to stand on it a whole day lest it might blow up. Meanwhile, he remembers the pains and difficulties he has gone through since he has been living in the war refugees camps.
Another story from this book is about a girl whose father has lost his sight in the war. She used to see her father off when he was going to the war, but now, she sees him off to go to the International Chess Competition of the Blind. Yet another story deals with teens’ addiction and its consequences.
It was selected at the Hi Kids Magazine Festival in 2000.
